Play, presentation to discuss history of the Shawnee Indian Mission

The Kaw Mission State Historic Site in Council Grove is hosting “Hello the House!” a dramatic play about Shawnee Mission founder Thomas Johnson on the night he was murdered in 1865.

The event will also include Anita Faddis, administrator of the Shawnee Indian Mission State Historic Site, who will talk about the history of the Shawnee mission. The Kaw Mission State Historic Site is located at 500 N. Mission Street in Council Grove.

Cost is $3 for adults; $1 students; children under five years of age and members of the Kansas Historical Foundation are admitted free.
