Via Christi will hold an open house from 1 to 2 p.m. Tuesday at its Wound Healing and Hyperbaric Therapy center, which is in Suite 1900 at 848 N. St. Francis.

The new program offers treatment of chronic wounds, according to a news release from the hospital. Treatments include hyperbaric oxygen therapy, negative pressure therapies, and off-loading foot and leg casts.

The center features seven treatment rooms. Physician Marilee McBoyle serves as the medical director for the facility.

Hyperbaric services are being provided through a contract with Healogics, which manages more than 500 wound-care centers.

Potential candidates for treatment include patients who suffer from diabetic ulcers, pressure ulcers, infections, injuries to soft tissue and bone, compromised skin grafts and flaps, and wounds that haven't healed within 30 days.
