Country legend Kenny Rogers will perform at the Orpheum Theatre on May 8, the venue announced Monday morning.

Rogers is known for hits such as “The Gambler,” “Lady” and “Lucille.” He was last in the area in 2011, when he performed at the Kansas State Fair in Hutchinson.

The concert is being presented by the Grumpy Old Men, a local group whose members pool their money to bring performers to Wichita.

Tickets to the show will be $69, $59 and $49 and will go on sale at 10 a.m. Friday at the Intrust Bank Arena box office, at Select-A-Seat outlets, by calling 316-755-SEAT or at www.selectaseat.com.
