A 20-year-old man was rushed to Wesley Medical Center in serious condition Sunday morning.

The man had been knocked unconscious in the 2600 block of North Minnesota, according to Sgt. John Hooferspokesman for the Wichita Police Department.

When police arrived at the scene, near Hillside and 21st, shortly after midnight they found the man unconscious on the kitchen floor. Witnesses at the scene told officers the man had been assaulted by several 16-year-old boys – possibly as many as eight, Hoofer said.
