A Missouri man was seriously injured in a one-vehicle crash on K-96 northwest of Wichita late Thursday night, authorities said.

The crash was reported shortly before midnight on K-96 near Tyler Road, according to the Kansas Highway Patrol. Mark Stevens, 25, of Chesterfield, Mo., was driving east in the westbound lanes when he entered the median and struck a guard rail.

The vehicle then vaulted and rolled, coming to rest in the south ditch. Stevens was not wearing a seat belt.

He was taken to Via Christi Hospital St. Francis, where he was in critical condition late Friday morning.
