Wichita Habitat for Humanity is hosting informational meetings for people interested in owning their own homes.

The organization is looking for individuals or families who may have failed to qualify for traditional mortgages but are now ready to own their own homes. Those people must have a need for housing, be able to pay and partner with Habitat for Humanity, said Jill Clavin, development associate for the group.

The first of the meetings begins at 5:30 p.m. tonight at the Wichita Habitat for Humanity office, 130 E. Murdock. Other meetings are scheduled on Feb. 13, Feb. 19 and March 6, each at 5:30 p.m. One other meeting is scheduled to begin at noon on March 7.

People wanting more information or who plan to attend a meeting are asked to call 316-269-0755.
