Those upper 60s from Sunday will seem a long way away on Tuesday in the Wichita area, when highs will only reach the mid-30s in the region.

North winds will be in the teens, forecasters say, before the breeze slackens later in the day. Skies will be sunny. Overnight lows will fall into the low 20s, with light winds shifting to the south.

Wednesday should see a bit of a rebound in temperatures, forecasters say, with highs climbing to the low to mid-40s, but a cold front will really push temperatures down by Thursday, with highs only in the teens.

Lows early Thursday morning could be in the single digits in the Wichita area, forecasters say.
