There’ll be plenty of sunshine and plenty of wind today in the Wichita area, forecasters say.

Highs should climb into the low 50s, with north winds intensifying as the day goes on. Steady winds will reach the low 20s by afternoon, with gusts approaching 30 miles an hour.

Lows will slip to the low 20s overnight under mostly clear skies, forecasters say, with northwest winds in the teens. Tuesday will see much cooler temperatures than Monday, with highs only in the upper 30s. Winds will be out of the north early and in the teens, but then ease.

Tuesday night will resemble Monday night, with lows in the low to mid-20s, forecasters say, and Wednesday should rebound to the mid-40s under partly cloudy skies.
