WICHITA — Residential developer Hutton Development is preparing to get started on its next development.

The company, a division of Hutton Construction that formed about a year ago, is going to build patio homes on almost 13 acres near the northeast corner of 21st and 127th.

"We're in very early stages of putting this together," vice president and general manager Trent Banister says. "Our intent is to develop that parcel into luxury patio homes."

Tim Buchanan, CEO of Legend Senior Living, sold the land to Hutton Development. Buchanan has about 13 acres left on the corner. The land is zoned for limited commercial use and is for sale.

Banister says homes will be priced similarly to the Hawthorne development in that area. Homes will begin at $400,000.
