It’ll be sunny and cooler in the Wichita area on Friday – but there won’t be as much wind as the day before, forecasters say.

Gusts could still approach 25 miles an hour out of the northwest. That’s only half the speed of the top winds in the metropolitan area on Thursday.

Highs should reach the mid-40s today, forecasters say. Overnight lows will dip to the low 20s as a few clouds move in, but the weekend should be pleasant.

Highs should reach the upper 50s on Saturday and the low 60s on Sunday, forecasters say. It’ll be sunny, with winds in the teens on Saturday and gusts to the mid-20s.
