Regardless of any moral compass, people who willingly and intentionally disobey traffic laws are just as likely to steal you blind. It is no wonder we cannot trust one another.

The two airports I frequent the most are most commonly identified by their call letters, LAX and PDX. It’s delusional to think people will come to Wichita because our airport has Eisenhower in its name – although flying to “the Ike” does have a cool ring to it.

I’ve used our modest little airport many times, including just a couple of weeks ago. I don’t think it’s run-down or tiny; it seems just the right size. And talk about easy to get around in.

So Gov. Sam Brownback claims his grand plan to provide all-day kindergarten will eliminate poverty in Kansas. Excuse me, but didn’t the governor push through our Legislature increases in state income-tax burdens for low-income folks? Meanwhile, affluent folks are happy because the governor’s same tax plan eliminated state income taxes on many businesses.

Obama says he’s going to help the economy, create jobs and eliminate poverty? Great. That must mean he’s going to kick out the border-crossing criminals and then resign. That’s going to be a great start.

If you think you can use Jesus and Obama in the same sentence, you don’t know enough about Him or Obama.

Because of the uncertainty that our president mandated on small businesses, I will not be hiring more employees in my business as previously planned.

There is a deep disgust, a fury, growing in the ranks of the military against the indifferent incompetence of President Obama. It has nothing to do with his race. That is just an excuse he hides behind.

I’ve observed many an old building receiving a new facade. The new facade tries to mask that it hides an aging, somewhat obsolete old structure. Note to Jerry Moran: The Republican Party needs more than a new image. It needs a complete and fundamental overhaul, inside and out.

What is the difference between Dennis Rodman and Edward Snowden? Answer: Snowden makes sense.

Cary Grant said he was opposed to actors spouting off about religion or politics because they aren’t experts on these subjects. We need more Cary Grants.
