A host of congressional aides will be in Wichita Friday to learn about Kansas’ efforts to train its work force.

The group, which is scheduled to include 16 Washington D.C.-based staff members, will meet with officials from the National Aviation Training Center, the NexStep Alliance and several Wichita aircraft manufacturing companies. Tours also are part of the day’s events.

NexStep Alliance is a partnership between Wichita Area Technical College, Goodwill Industries and the Workforce Alliance of South Central Kansas.

A number of local, state and industry officials are also expected to participate.
