Abortion opponents to host event on anniversary of Roe v. Wade

Abortion opponents will host a service Jan. 22 at the Operation Rescue Headquarters, 3013 E. Central, to observe the 41st anniversary of the landmark Roe v. Wade Supreme Court decision.

The service starts at 6 p.m. The Roe v. Wade ruling in 1973 affirmed a woman’s right to an abortion.

According to a news release issued by Operation Rescue, there will be an announcement during the service about a renewed effort to oppose Kansas abortion clinics.
