Wichita police said two employees of the Dillons at Central and West were robbed Friday night.

Sgt. Jeff Davis said the robbery happened at 10:15 p.m. Friday night when two employees were carrying receipts and other items from the store’s fuel station to the main store at 640 N. West.

They were “walking back with the days proceeds to the main building when they noticed a suspicious character in the area,” Davis said. “That suspicious character … confronted the two employees, pushed one of the employees up against the cart and was able to get the bag that had the days receipts to it as well as some other items related to the fuel station.”

Police are searching for the suspect.
