Forecasters say there’s a chance of freezing drizzle leading up to the start of the work day today in the Wichita area – and again early Friday morning.

Between those potentially glazing episodes, skies should slowly clear as temperatures climb into the mid-30s. Winds will be light and variable, then shift to the south and push toward double digits.

Overnight lows will be in the low 30s, with light rain and freezing drizzle in the early morning hours, forecasters say. The precipitation after sunrise should be rain, with temperatures recovering to the low 40s.

Winds out of the south and southeast could reach the mid-teens before shifting to the west and northwest later in the day. Gusts could reach 20 miles an hour.

The weekend is expected to be sunny and warmer, with highs in the upper 40s to low 50s.
