Garage fire near 119th and Central injures 19-year-old

A 19-year-old was seriously injured Monday in a garage fire in the 11600 block of West Cindy, near 119th Street West and Central.

Wichita firefighters responded to the fire shortly before 12:30 p.m. Monday, according to a Sedgwick County dispatcher. The 19-year-old suffered smoke inhalation and burns to the arm.

The fire was determined to be under control by 1:16 p.m. Monday, the dispatcher said.

The cause and damage amount have yet to be released.
