Kingman Country Club gets new owner

Veteran golf management professional Danny Cline is taking over operations at the Kingman Country Club, according to a news release.

Cline recently completed negotiations to purchase the club from local businessman Marvin Miller. According to the release, he was to assume management duties Jan. 1.

“Danny Cline will bring a fantastic history of success and expertise to our club,” Miller said in a statement. “He’s spent a lifetime in the golf club business and brings the

benefit of that experience to Kingman.”

Cline has held positions in Texas and Kansas, including Wichita and Hutchinson. He also has managed both Gaillardia Country Club and Oak Tree National Golf Club in Oklahoma, and he also worked at the LaQuinta Club and Resort in Palm Springs, Calif.

According to the release, Cline plans to focus on “strong and creative partnerships with area businesses, local organizations, schools, commerce leaders and city officials.”
