WICHITA — After an almost 40-year career in dentistry – first as a hygienist, then in the insurance business – Deb Merritt has purchased the Sweet Repeats consignment shop in Westlink Shopping Center.

"It was just a new opportunity to do something on my own and be kind of the master of my own destiny," she says. "I like clothes, and I love helping people."

Until now, the 19-year-old business, which is at Central and Tyler, has sold women's clothing, shoes and purses.

Merritt is adding men's and children's clothing and jewelry. She's also going to start promoting the business through social media for the first time.
