After a night of subzero wind chill temperatures and almost an inch of snow, Wichita was expected to see the sun Thursday.
“Not a bad day but cold,” said Chris Jakub, a meteorologist with the National Weather Service in Wichita.
Thursday’s highs were expected to be in the upper 20s, he said.
With winds whipping out of the north at 20 to 25 mph, the wind chill had dipped to 2 degrees below zero by 8 p.m. Wednesday.
Snow was expected to end shortly after 9 p.m., leaving almost an inch, Jakub said.
