A drive-by shooting early Wednesday morning resulted in a teenager being hit in the leg while he was attending a party in the 2200 block of North Minnesota, police said.

The 17-year-old was standing outside of the house where the party was being held about 1:45 a.m. when multiple shots were fired from a passing white, older-model Ford car, Sgt. Chris McAuliffe said.

The teenager was taken by a private vehicle to a hospital where he was treated and released, McAuliffe said. The 2200 block of North Minnesota is between Grove and I-135.

A house next door to where the party was being held was struck by several bullets, McAuliffe said. The 53-year-old woman and 55-year-old man who live in the house were not injured.

The teenager wasn’t able to give a description of the shooter, he said.
