Wichita police have identified the 61-year-old man found dead Sunday near the Mid-America All-Indian Center as Donald L. Hipsher.

Officers on a welfare check at the Seneca Street Bridge on Sunday found Hipsher’s body at about 1 p.m. Police have said he was homeless and apparently living there.

Wichita police Capt. Brent Allred said a coroner determined Hipsher died of hypothermia and heart problems, pending the results of a toxicology test.

There was no apparent sign of trauma to his body.

Hipsher is the 10th homeless person known to have died in Wichita in 2013.
