Landmark Bancorp and Landmark National Bank will have a new chief executive starting Wednesday.

That’s the day Michael Scheopner, president of the Manhattan-based holding company and the bank, assumes CEO duties from Patrick Alexander, who will remain chairman of both entities.

Scheopner joined the bank in October 2001 and has been president since May 2013.

Alexander said in a news release that he will be actively involved in the integration of Citizens Bank, which Landmark acquired in November, as well as business development and the exploration of additional acquisitions.

Landmark operates 30 branches in 23 Kansas communities.
