An 83-year-old Jetmore woman died Monday evening after she lost control of her car in Hodgeman County, according to the Kansas Highway Patrol.

Arylene F. Jackson was reportedly northbound on 208 Road, nearly 5 miles north of K-156, when the crash occurred at 5:50 p.m. The car, a 1998 Ford Taurus, rolled one and a half times and landed on its roof in the ditch after leaving the road, the highway patrol said.

Jackson, who died, was alone in the car, the highway patrol said.

Jetmore is about 28 miles north of Dodge City.
