You can take over a country quickly by coup, or gradually by chipping away at its basic principles. How far will you let our government go – NSA, IRS, Benghazi, Affordable Care Act, religious freedom, freedom of speech, etc.? Where do you stop it? Maybe sooner is better than later.

If 70 percent believe that the country is heading in the wrong direction, then why do people keep voting for Democrats? Surely any intelligent person can look at what’s been going on for the past five years and understand what the Democrats’ agenda is doing to our country.

The NSA is only doing what George W. Bush and Dick Cheney gave it the power to do. Obama can’t clean up all of the prior administration’s messes, but he’s trying.

It is a joke that the Federal Reserve has control over Wall Street with its policies. Those international bankers need to keep their hands off our money and quit sending our money overseas. Why do we have a U.S. Treasury Department?

So liberals are too afraid to go to libraries and museums now? The question is, how can you possibly go anywhere with those linguini spines of yours? Can anyone say “liberal wussification of America”?

It is sad when a person cannot express his personal and religious beliefs without being ostracized. The Robertson family should tell A&E that if all of their family members cannot be on “Duck Dynasty,” none of them will be a part of the show.

Just looking at the “Duck Dynasty” patriarch, you’d have to figure he’d say an anti-gay slur or two. Either that or he’d be one of the banjo players from “Deliverance.”

Since Phil Robertson is off “Duck Dynasty” for speaking the truth, I will be boycotting A&E.

It’s scary when a person can’t express his religious beliefs concerning homosexual practices without losing his job. Of course, folks like Bill Maher and Jon Stewart can regularly spew hatred for the Catholic Church and Jesus without any fear of retribution.

Whether the Carr brothers were tried together or separately, they are both still guilty of murder, and they deserve the same fate as their victims.

The Carr boys have had more justice than their victims did.

Please keep the Carr brothers off the front page and out of my face. How ridiculous of The Eagle. Is this your “Merry Christmas” to all of us who find it offensive?

Motorcycle riders who don’t wear a helmet are just confirming that they are thrill seekers. Well, they don’t have much chance in a wreck, and none with a car, anyway.

Attention, tailgaters: I can only go as fast as the car in front of me, so riding my bumper will not get you where you’re going any faster. I realize you’re more important than anyone, but back off, please.
