Christmas Day activities
If you get a little stir-crazy on Christmas Day, you don’t have to stay stuck in the house. Movie theaters will, of course, be open, as will several bowling alleys, including The Alley at 11413 E. 13th St. (opening at 4 p.m.), Northrock Lanes at 3232 N. Ridge (opening at 3 p.m.) and West Acres Bowl at 749 N. Ridge (opening at 3 p.m.) The Sedgwick County Zoo also will be open from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Bells will be ringing at historical museum
The annual Bloomfield Carillon Concert happens at noon Friday at the Wichita-Sedgwick County Historical Museum, 204 S. Main. Dean Roush will make music using the bells in the tower of the museum, and it will be audible outdoors. Admission is free. For more information, call 316-265-9314.
