Kansas Aviation Museum opens military aviation exhibit Thursday night

The Kansas Aviation Museum will open a new exhibit detailing the development of military aviation in Wichita at an open house from 4 to 7 p.m. Thursday at the museum, 3350 S. George Washington Blvd.

According to the museum’s website, the exhibit will focus on development of the McConnell Air Force Base, Kansas Air National Guard and military planes produced in Wichita.

The museum will host a dedication ceremony at 5:30 p.m., where punch and cookies will be served. Admission is free.
