Here is a good test for religious tolerance: If you can’t replace what you’re doing with the equivalent of another religion, then maybe you shouldn’t be doing it.

TV commercials that yell at me or insult my intelligence? I can’t get to the mute button on the remote fast enough. And I certainly don’t do business with any of the advertisers.

I am sorry K-State and Kansas get tired of being beaten by Oklahoma. I would not bet against Oklahoma in the Sugar Bowl if the freshman quarterback starts the game.

Are people seriously wondering if finals put too much stress on teens? The finals in high school don’t even come close to matching stressful situations in the real world. Quit sheltering teens from real world responsibility. Perhaps this is why many young adults struggle to be successful.

The Eagle does a heck of a job reporting points of view from differing sides of the political spectrum, which is saying something given that this is a conservative town in a conservative state.

A federal judge has ruled that the National Security Agency’s gathering of all telephone calls appears to violate the Constitution. I am shocked. We still have a Constitution?

Does columnist Cal Thomas think tax cuts for the rich and trickle-down economics built this country?

To all the people who have lost their insurance because of the ACA or can’t get signed up: Not to worry, because Hollywood actors are getting on the bandwagon to promote Obamacare. They’ll take care of you. They are wealthy Democrat liberals. No problem.

There has to be something seriously wrong with the mental abilities of anyone who would still attempt to defend Obamacare after the insurmountable proof that there is nothing about it that is any good.

I see that Gov. Sam Brownback got a chance for some camera time when the airport plot was disclosed. I’m sure that he was very much a part of the situation. Maybe he should run for something.

You need a photo ID to cash a check, board a plane, get a players card at the casino, rent a video, get admitted to the hospital, and buy liquor, and people who attended the NAACP conference had to show photo ID. But the liberal news media want us to believe that having to show an ID to vote is racist. Wake up, America.

Rather than encouraging Americans to be hardworking, productive citizens, our surreal government hands out food, clothing, housing and free education in the form of counseling, training programs, child care and transportation funding.

Traffic updates that advise motorists of wrecks and traffic tie-ups are a great idea. They would actually be effective if the radio announcers would slow down and not read the reports as though they are entered in a speed-reading contest.
