Congratulations, Wichita State Shockers – 10 and 0 for the first time in school history. Too bad the best team in Kansas had to walk into Intrust Bank Arena to Kansas State banners everywhere. K-State, wait your turn.

I love you, Tekele Cotton. Thank you.

I sure wish the WSU men’s basketball team would play a ranked team to see if it can back up its advertised ability. No teams in the current MVC have any abilities or ranking since Creighton left. WSU has a soft schedule this year.

It was great to see so many people downtown Saturday afternoon at the arena for the Shocker game. Do you think we could get the baseball team to come down and play a game at Lawrence-Dumont Stadium on a Saturday afternoon?

We’re supposed to think the FBI accomplished something fantastic. I wonder if anyone on the airport case ever thought that it would have been a whole lot easier to help the man with his mental illness rather than spend all that time and money turning him into a criminal.

If Gov. Sam Brownback didn’t do anything to help catch the alleged would-be bomber at the airport, why was he at the news conference?

I predict the Carr brothers will die of old age.

Who dictates that Wichita is required to compete in the convention market? Should we not put that to a vote before we raise taxes again?

I love editorial cartoonist Richard Crowson. Why is it that when Republicans say something insulting it’s a joke, but they can’t seem to see the irony in a cartoon? Did his Mary and Joseph cartoon (Dec. 8 Opinion) hit a little too close to home for Republicans?

Some corporate owners blame the government. Some workers blame the corporation. Some people just do what needs to be done. Tomorrow comes with a rising sun. Will you do what needs to be done?

Movie studios are constantly making movies vilifying businesses. How do they rate their success? By how much money their films make. Apparently what is good for the goose is not good for the gander.

Considering the money it is costing me to heat my house this year, I am hoping Santa does bring me coal for Christmas.

All I want for Christmas is for Macy’s to return to Wichita.
