Ian Lowe scored two goals and Matt Robinson had three assists as the Thunder beat the St. Charles Chill 5-1 on Saturday night in St. Charles, Mo.

Wichita took a 2-0 lead with a pair of goals within 35 seconds midway through the first period. Robinson set up Lowe on the first score, and assisted Andrew Martens on the second score. St. Charles made it 2-1 with a power-play goal later in the first period, the only shot to get past Thunder goalie Taylor Nelson all night.

Lowe had the only goal of the second period, and Jon Booras and Dustin Donaghy tacked on third-period scores.

The Thunder continues a five-game road trip next weekend with two games at Arizona. Wichita doesn’t return home until Dec. 27, when it plays host to the Chill.
