The early December deep freeze treatment continues today in the Wichita area, with highs only reaching the low 20s.

Light north winds will stay in the single digits, forecasters say, with skies remaining mostly cloudy. A dusting of snow is possible close to the Oklahoma border, according to the National Weather Service.

Skies are expected to begin clearing overnight, when lows dip near 10. Winds will become calm before shifting to the west and southwest, but staying light.

Those southerly winds will help Tuesday warm up all the way to the upper 30s, forecasters say. The winds will be light under mostly sunny skies. Tuesday night will see temperatures sag into the mid-teens under clear skies.

Wednesday should offer more sunshine but highs only in the upper 20s, forecasters say.
