Sheriff’s saturation patrol results in 92 seat belt citations, 20 arrests

Over the Thanksgiving holiday weekend, the Sedgwick County Sheriff’s office issued 92 seat belt violations and three child restraint citations during a saturation patrol designed to enforce Kansas seat belt laws.

Thirteen people were arrested for driving while their license was suspended; seven were arrested for DUI.

The patrols ran from the day before Thanksgiving through Sunday.
