A pickup going the wrong way on the Kansas Turnpike sideswiped a semi-truck at the Haysville exit early Wednesday morning, injuring the pickup driver and a passenger, the Kansas Turnpike Authority said.

The collision occurred around 3:16 a.m. when the pickup was going north in a southbound lane, the authority said. The pickup veered into a ditch. A 41-year-old Wichita man driving the pickup and a 41-year-old female passenger, also from Wichita, were taken by ambulance to a hospital.
