Don’t expect to go out without a coat anytime Wednesday.

Wednesday’s high temperature will likely reach only the mid- to upper 30s, and the low will be around 18 on Wednesday night, said Vanessa Pearce, meteorologist with the National Weather Service in Wichita.

Thursday’s high: only 23. For the Wichita area, a small amount of snow is expected between Thursday morning and Thursday evening, with a better chance closer to the evening, Pearce said. Because of the low temperatures, any precipitation will come in the form of snow rather than a wintry mix, Pearce said.

Snow amounts could likely vary, with Wichita getting a trace to 2 inches, and southeast Kansas possibly getting 1 to 4 inches.
