In recent cases, Kansas and Missouri invoke laws similar to ‘stand your ground’

When Curtis Shaver came at Richard Kropp last summer with a walking stick, Kropp had a gun to defend himself. And when Kropp chose to fire that gun rather than retreat into his home, he also had Kansas law on his side.
