Two people killed early Friday in a collision near Swope Parkway were identified as siblings from Kansas City, Kan.

Randy L. Cannon, 28, is believed to have been the driver. His sister, Aerosha Cannon, 21, who was a passenger sitting in the front seat of the vehicle, was also killed in the crash.

Another passenger, a 22-year-old Kansas City woman, was taken to a local hospital and is in critical condition. Police believe the surviving occupant was seated in the vehicle’s rear seat.

The single-car accident happened about 3 a.m. Friday on U.S. 71 near Swope Parkway. Police said the driver apparently lost control of the vehicle and it went off an embankment.
