As an ex-prisoner of war during the Korean War, I do not trust Secretary of State John Kerry and this Obama administration. This reminds me of Dec. 7, 1941.

Obama to Iran: “If you like your nukes, you can keep your nukes.”

The Obama administration has betrayed Americans held unjustly in Iranian prisons by not including their release in the Iran nuke agreement. Sanctions should continue and humanitarian aid be withheld until our citizens are returned to the United States – no one left behind.

Why should men pay the same premiums for health care as women? Women have more physical problems than men. It is another form of sex discrimination.

Razing Century II and building a grander entertainment center would be a poor use of taxpayers’ money. Instead let’s help families without adequate shelter and food, and with winter utility costs for the disadvantaged. Say “no” to a bigger entertainment center that serves our pride.

Wichita should update Century II, as a person would his home. It makes no sense to raze the facility.

What have our tax dollars been spent on if not road repairs, water and sewer lines, the transit system, etc.? We need an audit of the city to see where our tax dollars go before we approve giving it any more of our money.

Interesting that with the 777X looking for a home, the Wichita City Council starts talking about a tax to attract business to Wichita. Guess what? Too little and too late. The city should have started years ago. Between it and the unions, the people don’t stand a chance.

Gov. Sam Brownback’s policy choices have never been about Kansas. They’ve been about securing corporate financing and establishing ultraconservative credentials for a 2016 presidential run. Now that these policies have failed the governor and our state, we can only hope he will reverse course and do what’s right for Kansas.

Mid-Continent Airport should be renamed Jabara Airport. It obviously attracts larger planes.

The sweetest words any air traveler can hear from a fellow passenger are, “I’m on the plane. I’ll have to call you back later.” I am begging the airlines not to lift their ban on cellphone use.

One of the sure signs of the approaching end-times is the inability of bartenders anywhere to make a decent Manhattan. I am pretty sure that’s in the Bible.
