Two pedestrians were injured early Saturday morning when they were struck by a car in the 1900 block of East 12th Street.

The walkers – a 39-year-old man and a 38-year-old man – were in a dark area when they were hit by an eastbound dark Saab four-door vehicle, police Sgt. Scott Brunow said. The vehicle immediately left the scene.

The men were taken to Wesley Medical Center, Brunow said, one in critical and one in serious condition.
