Minnesota beats Kansas women 70-59

The Minnesota women handed Kansas its first loss of the season, beating the Jayhawks 70-59 on Wednesday in Minneapolis.

KU led 32-30 at halftime, but Minnesota started the second half with a 16-8 run to lead 46-40. Kansas cut the lead to one point but never led again.

CeCe Harper led KU with 17 points. Chelsea Fardner added 10 points and 13 rebounds.

Minnesota freshman Amanda Zahui had 11 points, 11 rebounds and 10 blocked shots. Rahcel Banham scored a game-high 26.
