Gardner pushes KU past Creighton

Junior forward Chelsea Gardner scored 24 points and grabbed eight rebounds to lead Kansas to a 74-66 win over Creighton on Sunday in Lawrence.

Gardner made her first six shots and also had three blocks as the Jayhawks improved to 3-0 and dropped Creighton to 2-2.

Asia Boyd added 19 points for Kansas, while Lamaria Cole chipped in with 14 points. McKenzie Fujan led Creighton with 22 points.

The Jayhawks make their first road trip of the season on Wednesday, traveling to play Minnesota.
