The KCAC placed three schools in the NAIA Football Championship Series on Sunday, led by league champion Sterling (9-2) making its first appearance in the postseason with a game at Baker (10-1) on Saturday at 1 p.m. Baker plays in the Heart of America Athletic Conference.
Two other teams from the KCAC and HAAC also made the field. Tabor (9-2) plays at Benedictine (10-1), Ottawa (8-3) plays at Grand View (10-0) and Missouri Valley (8-2) hosts Northwestern Iowa (8-2). All games are on Saturday.
Just two teams from the MIAA made the NCAA Division II playoffs. MIAA champion Northwest Missouri (11-0), the top seed out of the South Central Regional, gets a bye. Emporia State (9-1) travels to Minnesota-Duluth (10-1) on Saturday.
