So quiet motorcycles are unsafe. Why does the manufacturer put mufflers on new ones? Can we sue them? If I take the mufflers off my car, it will be safer, too, right? I’m so confused.


The federal law eliminating loud TV commercials became effective in December 2012, so why aren’t the TV stations following this law? Follow the money from advertisers.


I almost got run over by three different co-workers one day because they were more interested in pushing buttons on their toy phones than paying attention to where they were walking. It sad when you can’t go from your desk to get a cup of coffee without letting go of your phone for two minutes.


I too wondered about those “shame on you” signs, so I asked and was handed a flier. They’re not employees. They’re employed by contractors who did work for those businesses and allege they were not paid the full salaries or benefits promised. They’re picketing to put pressure to correct that injustice.


Talk is cheap and cheapened, especially when it comes to Obama. If he really wants to apologize for everyone except a privileged few losing their health insurance and doctors, then he needs to resign immediately and take his administration with him.


Did you know that all federal employees, including postal employees, receive a 72 percent subsidy on their health insurance? Why should these folks receive this subsidy when Joe the plumber does not?


Not a single Republican voted for Obamacare. Why do you now think they should drop everything and bail out the Democrats, who obviously couldn’t find ice in a glacier? Polls show a vast majority don’t want Obamacare and it’s being shoved down our throats.


Please, let the rollout of Obamacare serve as a stark warning to us. America is done with the 1960s brats and their idiotic disciples.


As an ex-prisoner of war, I do not trust our president.


Paul Davis and Jill Docking are candidates who intend to fix the current income-tax system and put education back on the front burner where it belongs. Out with the old, in with the “Double D” team.


Tipping is a practice of gratitude for service above and beyond the ordinary, an expression of appreciation for a job well done. Being tipped is not an automatic given, it’s not guaranteed. If you don’t do your job well, you won’t be tipped. You can’t be appreciated for something you don’t do.
