Stiefel Theatre announces winter-spring lineup

Salina’s historic Stiefel Theatre announced a new lineup of concerts and events earlier this week.

Performers range from a classic rock band to comedians.

Tickets for these new shows, which run through December, go on sale at 9 a.m. Nov. 22 at www.stiefeltheatre.org, ticketmaster.com or by calling 785-827-1998.

The shows are:

“Seussical,” 6 p.m. Feb. 12. Musical about Dr. Seuss’ best-loved stories adapted from the Broadway version, with “The Cat in the Hat” as the host and emcee. Tickets $15, $8 for children.

Bela Fleck and Abigail Washburn, 8 p.m. Feb. 15. Famous banjoists performing intricate duets. Tickets $35, $45, $55.

Ronny Cox, 7 p.m. Feb. 16. Country musician who also has starred in movies such as “Total Recall” and “Robocop.” Tickets $25.

Larry the Cable Guy, 7 and 9:30 p.m. Feb. 28. Blue-collar comedian and television host known for the phrase “Git-R-Done.” Tickets $68, $78.

David Sedaris, 8 p.m. March 13. Satirist, humor writer, author of books such as “Me Talk Pretty One Day” and “Dress Your Family in Corduroy and Denim.” Tickets $38, $49, $55.

REO Speedwagon, 8 p.m. March 14. Classic rock band known for hits such as “Keep On Loving You” and “Take It on the Run.” Tickets $79, $89, $99.

Marty Stuart, 8 p.m. March 22. Grammy-winning recording artist and television host. Tickets $35, $45, $55.

Roger McGuinn, 8 p.m. May 9. Founder of the Byrds, Grammy-nominated performer. Tickets $35.
