Three men were arrested Wednesday afternoon in connection with a report of several shots fired in south Wichita, police said.

A woman reported hearing multiple gunshots in the 800 block of South Marcilene, Lt. Doug Nolte said. That’s just northwest of Lincoln and Edgemoor.

She reported seeing a silver Lexus driving away from the area immediately after the shots were fired, Nolte said. Officers responding to the case spotted a vehicle matching that description at Lincoln and I-135.

They found at least two guns in the car, Nolte said, as well as drugs. The three men were arrested on suspicion of criminal discharge of a firearm and drug offenses. Two of the men are 22 and the third is 20.

No injuries were reported.
