Healing Waters Spa and Cosmetic Clinic is partnering with Palmetto Health, one of the largest health care systems in South Carolina, to open a spa next to the system’s newest hospital, according to a news release.

The new Palmetto Health Healing Waters Spa will be located next to Palmeto Health Baptist Parkridge in the Irmo/Harbison area of South Carolina and is slated to open in spring 2014.

The spa will offer traditional spa treatments, cosmetic procedures, plastic surgery and wellness programs. Plastic surgeon Benjamin McIntyre will oversee the medical services and perform surgeries.

Healing Waters started in Wichita in 2002 by Amanda Gorecki, an advanced registered nurse practitioner, and her husband, John Gorecki, a neurosurgeon.

In 2005, it opened a second location in Durham, N.C.,

Over the next five years, according to the release, Healing Waters plans to expand the brand with hospitals and open more medical clinics that incorporate spa and cosmetic services and plastic surgery.
