I want Century II torn down immediately. I need the profits from the oil underneath it. I do not care about the water being contaminated. We can use fracking and have some vibrant earthquakes. Then we can advertise “Wichita – a city on the move.”
Tear down Century II and put in a casino.
Whenever the media refer to terrorist leaders as “masterminds,” are we giving them too much credit?
An Opinion page contributor said that “abortion care is a safe procedure. In the first trimester, the complication rate is less than one-half of 1 percent” (Nov. 6 Opinion). Since at least one person dies in every abortion, the complication rate is actually 100 percent.

Dear “trick-or-treater”: I hope you can read Japanese. Otherwise, it will be hard for you to enjoy the books in the package you stole.
I’ve been handing out Halloween candy for the past 30 Octobers, and this year the costumes were particularly creative and the kids unusually courteous. My compliments to the trick-or-treaters and their parents.
