Business banking relationship manager
Jiwanlal grew up knowing that he wanted to follow his father into banking. Nothing in his career so far has changed that.
Just being able to make an impact on other peoples lives, thats what initially drew me to it, he said. Helping with personal finance needs is how I started, but now its more about helping businesses grow and helping Commerce Bank grow in the community.
Jiwanlal, 29, grew up in Andover, playing basketball, soccer and tennis. He earned a degree in business administration from Bethel College and was a two-time all-KCAC conference player in soccer as a midfielder for the school.
Jiwanlal worked in various positions for Bank of America, where his father, Rich, had been an executive. The younger Jiwanlals jobs included customer representative, personal banker, teller supervisor and credit analyst in the commercial banking department. He started at Commerce on Oct. 1.
Outside work, Jiwanlal volunteers for Big Brothers Big Sisters and is part of the United Way young leaders program. He enjoys working out, playing in a recreational soccer league and rooting for the Kansas Jayhawks basketball team.
Ive always been a sports fanatic.
