By the time my internal clock resets and falls back one hour, it will be time to spring forward again. Why not move the clock 30 minutes and leave it alone?

Please drive with caution through the neighborhoods and try to avoid killing our little squirrels. They are busy getting ready for the cold winter and may run into your path. I witnessed a driver hit one when he could have slowed and avoided it.

It’s interesting that after the talk of oil possibly being under Century II, it’s time to talk about it being torn down.

Poor Century II must feel like a turkey right before Thanksgiving. Let it live. There are surely some improvements to be made, but it’s a Wichita icon.

Next they will want us to pay to redo Century II. I am all for it as soon as the downtown arena pays for itself – only $190 million more.

I left Wichita in 1985 and returned this year. The city streets are worse than before. Where are your taxes being spent?

Thousands of Iranians were in the streets shouting, “Death to America.” Save your breath, folks, we’re doing it to ourselves.

“If you like your doctor, you can keep your doctor” – that statement should be the final nail in the coffin of Obamacare.

If I were investigating the computer foul-up for the Affordable Care Act, I wouldn’t overlook the possibility of sabotage.

The height of Obama’s arrogance is the notion that he alone knows whether your health care plan is right for you and your family. That a shyster who came out of nowhere, with no credentials other than the gift of gab, can make this determination for the country is idiocy.

Insurance policies have always been amended periodically. Under the ACA, all changes made must conform to the new law’s standards. If your policy is so shoddy that it can’t be made legal with a few tweaks, it’s probably one that you’re better off without.

“Dog trained to detect pregnant polar bears” (Nov. 5 Eagle) was the most lame headline to ever greet my eyes, and I’m an old guy. This was a subject for Section B maybe.

“Dog trained to detect pregnant polar bears”? That didn’t warrant the front page, much less the main headline. Slow news day? Any of the other stories would have made a better headline. Get real.
