Burglars stole three large flat-screen televisions from a Rent-A-Center outlet early Monday morning, police said.

The crime was discovered at 12:30 a.m. Monday at the store at 225 E. 47th St. South, Lt. Doug Nolte said. That’s just east of Broadway.

An audible alarm sounded at the store, and when officers arrived they discovered someone had pried open a door and stolen two 60-inch televisions and a 70-inch TV. The stolen televisions had a combined value of more than $3,000.

The burglars cut security cables on the televisions and rolled them out of the store, Nolte said. Investigators are checking to see whether surveillance footage of the incident is available.
