Funny how Reps. Mike Pompeo and Tim Huelskamp, along with most of the rest of the Republicans who won’t do their elected jobs of governing, want to instruct the president on how he should govern. As a demonstration, maybe they could orchestrate another government shutdown to get Kathleen Sebelius fired.
No matter how much Obama has apologized to the world for the U.S., the world would now love, if able, to impeach him for spying on it, among other things. If we can just get the other 50 percent of the U.S. citizens to agree, we’ll all be better off.
It was astounding to me that Obama felt it necessary to close memorials and parks with guards posted during the shutdown, but leaves the border wide open and sent no help when our citizens in Benghazi were attacked.
Everybody needs to put in President Obama’s name when enrolling in Obamacare, and everything will be free.
I wouldn’t call the benefits that Congress receives an entitlement. I would call them welfare. Members of Congress are little more than freeloaders living off the taxpayers. But if they are Republicans from Kansas, they know they will be re-elected and the welfare will continue.
More than 1,000 Iraqis were killed last month. Thousands of our troops lost their lives in Iraq and nothing has changed. George Bush, where are you?
Science fiction author Robert Heinlein once wrote, “An armed society is a polite society.” This is demonstrably not true. The U.S. is very heavily armed while Canada largely prohibits firearms. Yet no reasonable person would deny that Canada is a much more polite society than the United States.
The answer to “food deserts” is obviously government-provided food trucks, since government just took over our health care. I live more than a mile from clothing, pizza and loan stores, too. What’s the government solution for that?
If you’re going to change the Redskins’ name, you have to change the names of the Cowboys, the Chiefs and the Yankees.
We can rename Wichita’s airport whatever we want. But pilots and controllers will still say “Wichita Tower” as they speak to each other.
Every school day, twice a day, there is a giant traffic jam in front of North High. It’s been a problem for years. Why doesn’t the city buy the Jack’s North Hi Carryout property and widen 13th Street in front of the school for a left-turn lane for eastbound North students?
The Bible says that in only six days God created the Earth and the entire universe. But it is a scientific fact that the universe was billions of years in formation, so why would any self-respecting educator teach the Bible version as a fact?
