What started out as horseplay between two Wichita men Friday afternoon ended as a stabbing, Wichita police said.
Sgt. Bruce Watts said Saturday that a 47-year-old man and a 39-year-old man — both of whom had been drinking — were playfully wrestling until the younger man pulled out a pocket knife and stabbed the older man in the neck.
Police learned of the stabbing, which occurred around 4 p.m. Friday in the 6100 block of East Harry, when the older man walked into the emergency room at Via Christi St. Joseph. Watts said officers were at the hospital on an unrelated call when the victim walked in.
“The victim was uncooperative and the suspect was not located,” Watts said.
